Whats it all about?

Bungee Jumping first started hundreds of years ago in the South Pacific island of Vanuatu. Young native tribesmen used to leap off huge trees with vines tied to their ankles, as a test of manhood. Contrary to popular belief, modern Bungee Jumping was founded in 1979 from the Clifton Suspension Bridge in Bristol, England. Since then Bungee Jumping has spread to many other countries across the globe, of which America, France, New Zealand and Britain are but a few.

SKY HIGH BUNGEE carries  an insurance policy up to 5 million as do most clubs in the UK. Bungee jumping is inherently dangerous but our experience over six years has led us to increase safety with a view to minimizing all and any risks. Our entire procedure carries a redundancy factor including the bungee ropes, so in the unlikely event of a failure there is a second system to take over.

Since the company was formed back in 1994 we have had close links with a number of charities (see our links page) and we operate a policy whereby sponsored jumpers can have the cost of their jumps refunded by the charity for whom they are jumping, assuming they reach a required target amount.
